While new construction patio homes are not limited to just two builders, as of 2017 there are two builders providing the majority of patio homes in Northern Kentucky: Drees Homes and Fischer Homes.
Drees and Fischer are currently building in the following Northern Kentucky communities:
- Alexandria
- Erlanger
- Union (several communities in the Triple Crown area)
Community amenities vary from nothing extra to golf/swim/country club lifestyles.
Typical patio home construction and features
What you can count on is a low maintenance lifestyle! Someone else will take care of the lawn as part of your monthly HOA fees. And in most cases, exteriors are built of low maintenance materials (brick, stone, cement board (Hardie board) or vinyl) so you can realistically expect minimal expenses for taking care of your home’s exterior for many years to come.
Most patio homes will be a minimum 1600 sq. ft of living space configured with at least 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a 2 car garage. Depending on floor plan selected and community, you can add additional interior living space (finished lower level, bump outs, etc.) and you can also add exterior living space with decks and/or patios.
Starting prices for Northern Kentucky new construction patio homes are in the $200,000s, but expect final pricing to more likely to be in the $300-400,000 range depending on community, floor plan and the options you choose to finish your home.
